Introduction
The Boomerang Messaging Direct API allows you to send standard 1-way, 2-way, Intelligent 2-Way messages and conversational messaging over SMS, Voice and email. You can also retrieve any responses to an outbound message along with the delivery status. A Boomerang UI account is required in order to access the API and a free trial can be requested from our website. API documentation provides details of the various messaging functions along with examples relating to each of the functions.
Connectivity
TLS
Due to security vulnerabilities with TLS versions 1.0 and 1.1, Boomerang will only traffic using TLS version 1.2 or higher. For enhanced performance and security, we recommend that customers connect using TLS version 1.3 .
HTTP
For optimised performance we also support connections with HTTP/2.
